We may collect information you input into the Extension, such as the text you submit for fact-checking.
Information automatically collected
When you use the Extension, we collect your email addresse. we may collect limited technical information, including non-identifiable usage data for performance monitoring / debugging.
Third party API
The Extension uses OpenAI’s API to process fact-checking requests. Submitted text is sent to OpenAI for processing, but we do not store this text or any results.
How we use your information
We use the collected information solely to provide and improve the Extension’s functionality. Specifically:
- To track free trial usage and manage subscription services using your email address.
- To process your fact-checking requests.
- To monitor and improve the Extension’s performance and reliability.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Data storage and security
Data Storage
Email addresses and free trial usage data are stored securely in a Firestore Document accessible only to authorized personnel.
We do not store any user-submitted text or results on our servers. Metadata may be stored for internal analytics and debugging purposes.

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
Third Party services
This Extension relies on the following third-party services:

You can chose (and should) not to submit sensitive or personally identifiable information in fact-checking requests you will make.
