Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Fact Checker. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms of Service . If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us governing your use of the Extension.
Description of Service
The Extension provides fact-checking functionality integrated into Google Workspace applications, such as Google Docs™ and Google Slides™ . Users can submit text for fact-checking, and the Extension processes the requests using third-party APIs (for now OpenAI only).
License and Usage Rights
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension solely for personal or internal business purposes.
You agree not to:
- Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the Extension.
Payment and Subscription
Free Tier:
The Extension may offer limited free usage, such as 10 fact-checking requests per month. While the paid subscription is not yet available, if you need more access, please contact us. We provide extra executions for beta testing. Details of the free tier are provided in the Extension documentation.
Paid Subscription (Yet to come):
Access to premium features or additional usage may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing details are available on the market place listing. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees.
Third-Party Services
The Extension integrates with third-party services, such as the OpenAI API, to process fact-checking requests. By using the Extension, you agree to comply with the terms and policies of these third-party services, including but not limited to:
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or data handling practices of third-party services.
Data and Privacy
Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Extension, you consent to the processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Extension, but you grant us a license to process it solely for providing the requested functionality.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
The Extension is provided « as is » and « as available » without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Extension at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms.
- Non-payment of subscription fees.
Upon termination, your license to use the Extension will cease immediately.
Terms Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Extension constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of France.
